Earn the Energy Efficiency Tax Credit

Qualifications for Tax Credit:   

• •Windows and doors must have a U-Factor and Solar Heat Coefficient (SHGC) less than or equal to 0.30.

• •Purchase and install qualifying Soft-Lite products beginning January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010.

• •Purchase Soft-Lite windows or patio doors with a qualifying glass system from our glass families of dual and triple pane Low-E insulating glass packages. 

Amount of Tax Credit Allowed:  

• •The maximum amount for the Energy Efficiency Tax Credit is $1,500.

• •The amount of the tax credit equals 30% of the homeowner’s cost of the product. (Does not include cost of installation.)
  Example A: Product Cost = $2,500,       Tax Credit = $750
  Example B: Product Cost = $5,000,       Tax Credit = $1,500
